Only a handful of colonial architecture buildings dating back from that period still stand to this day, witnessing the development and progress of Kodaikanal for over 15 decades. The colonial structure of Bruton Resorts has been well maintained since the laying of the foundation stone of the Kodaikanal observatory in 1895.
